BIO

Jay Jung is the founder and owner of Jay Jung Architect Inc. with more than 15 years of experience in the planning and architectural design of various building types.

Prior to opening his firm in 2016, he worked as a director at H Architecture and as a project architect at Perkins Eastman in New York, USA. His design portfolio includes new construction and renovations of residential, commercial, public, and educational facilities in both USA and Canada. He is an expert in Building Information Modeling (BIM, 3D visualization drawings) and can skillfully incorporate his proficiency in diverse BIM programs into all his projects. From experience, using BIM models effectively from the initial design to the final construction phase has helped to reduce delays, errors, and construction times.  Jay has successfully executed more than 100 projects from Design Development to Construction Administration.   

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Pratt Institute, USA, and his master’s degree from Columbia University in New York, USA.  He is a licensed architect in British Columbia, Canada and the State of New York, USA. He holds a certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), a real estate sales person’s license from the New Jersey Real Estate Commission (NJREC), building technical contracting license from Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR), and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
